Vinay is a business leader with a proven track record in creating new brands and setting new businesses. He is extremely passionate about consumer centricity and creating innovative solutions for the betterment of human lives. Consumer centricity, strategic brand development and last mile availability solutions has helped him drive greater consumer preference in highly competitive markets.
He has an experience of over 15 years spanning brand management and sales & distribution across a wide spectrum of categories, media ecosystems and geographies. He has handled flagship and fledging brands, set up distribution infrastructure as well as managed large teams and businesses of varied nature. He has played a key role in product innovation for generating consumer delight and has extensive experience in creating and nurturing brands.
Vinay currently leads the New Business Vertical for Marico. His current responsibilities entail setting up of a new business unit with a strong cross functional team responsible for manufacturing, R&D, sales & marketing. He has led the launch of digitally forward brands like Saffola Slimming Nutri-Shake and Coco Soul and he is setting up the ethical marketing channel for Marico. Before this, Vinay has worked in leadership roles with some of the leading corporates like ITC, Tata Sky and Wipro Consumer Care.
Vinay has been an active member at industry forums and has been a speaker at Academia and Business Events. He takes a keen interest in advising start-ups. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from BIT, India Masters in Construction Technology & Management from IIT Delhi followed by MBA with Marketing Specialisation from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai.
Vinay is married to Gunjan and has two wonderful kids, Vedika and Vihaan. He is a lifelong learner, a foodie and an avid wild life enthusiast.
